Farm + Fort sits quietly within The Shop in Treen, offering a cozy spot for those making their way through Cornwall’s rugged coastal stretches. This café and bar is a laid-back stop that feels perfectly in sync with the slow pace of local life here—ideal for folks looking to recharge before or after a coastal walk or a day at the beach.

The atmosphere is calm and unpretentious, with an emphasis on fresh, local produce that’s clear in every sandwich and coffee served. Morning crowds often include holidaymakers returning nearly daily for the solid espresso and carefully crafted sandwiches, like their standout rosemary flatbread filled with pesto, mozzarella, tomatoes, and rocket. The café’s relaxed vibe makes it a natural spot for breakfast or a casual lunch, especially appreciated by those staying at nearby campsites or passing through Treen.

Farm + Fort’s coffee has earned particular praise—those chasing a reliable, well-pulled espresso will find it satisfying, while the almond and pecan croissants provide a flaky treat casual enough to take along for a day’s exploring. The setting doesn’t try to impress with flashy design but instead reflects the quiet charm of its surroundings, where friendly service and carefully prepared food form the core of the experience.

Visitors tend to pause here as a practical and pleasant pit stop, whether heading to the beach or walking the nearby bluebell woods. The presence of Buckfast Tonic Wine on the menu offers a nod to local tastes, hinting at the laid-back, community-oriented feel that defines much of this stretch of Cornwall’s coast.

Came here during my Cornwall trip from London. Stayed on the campsite which was beautiful - quiet and secluded with the cutest little cafe I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere, food, coffee and service were all 10/10, served by four of the most stunning girls I’ve ever seen, and all so lovely. The food was great - you can tell that all of the produce is so fresh. Already looking forward to my next stay here!!

Fabulous café! Came here almost every morning on our holiday in Cornwall. The coffee is so good, and the sandwiches (especially Tommy Mozza) are amazing! A rosemary flatbread/focaccia with pesto, mozzarella, tomatoes, and rocket. The croissants (almond and Pecan) are such a good thing to take away to have during the day! I cannot recommend this cafe enough, the atmosphere is so chilled and calm, a lovely place to be

Lovely find today. Excellent choice of sandwiches, freshly made with local ingredients. Was a perfect stop off before our walk in St Loy Bluebell woods.

Jus wanted to come on and say how great this little gem of a spot is. Had breakfast here the last couple days, returning for a second day says it all anyway but credit where credits due - cool, friendly people, insanely good food, the best espresso I’ve ever had in my life (didn’t even know it was possible to end up having the best espresso of my life but it really was that good). The banana bread is ridiculously good. Prices are decent too. Overall 5 big ones. Thanks for having me guys!

lovely fresh food. no meat choices though as far as I could see, no bacon no sausages! Can't call it 'farm and fort' and have no free range sausage and bacon The avocado and egg on sourdough was absolutely lovely , I ate the lot. cost was £12, fair, but not great value. was extremely busy due to serving the treen farm campsite across the way, but the staff did their very best and food served in 25mins or so. A decent cup of coffee to be had here also. if anyone set up business around here serving bacon and or sausages baps... #winning

First time coming to this little gem of a cafe. Staff where friendly and welcoming. Best coffee I’ve ever had food was amazing, servers where chatty and smiling only one thing that did bug me was sitting in a ally and having to move so that a women could go past with a wheelbarrow moaning about people sitting in the way and saying should complain to the authorities. Apart from that I will be back next year.

Amazing little café in the village of Treen, quality bougie breakfasts for a range of appetites and dietary requirements, in a very contemporary and minimalist setting - Farm + Fort merch is available too, it's worth the little uphill detour off the West Kernow Way
